Faculty Biography

Louise Schiller received a BA in English from New York University and an MLA from Cornell University. She was also a Ph.D. candidate at the University of London, UK, in English Poetry. She won the City Visions Competition in Philadelphia, PA with her entry, “The Ribbon of Gold,” which proposed planting Black-Eyed Susans and other sustainable materials throughout the city in a living collage. While running her own firm in Princeton, NJ she also served on the Site Plan Review Advisory Board of the Planning Board. She was the Consulting Landscape Architect for Princeton University from 1988-1998, completing more than a dozen built projects around the campus. She had been awarded two Merit Awards and one Honor Award from the ASLA for projects in Chevy Chase, MD, Princeton and Philadelphia.
Louise teaches design studios and Introduction to Landscape Architecture.
